Sue’s thoughts, Tuesday 26th October

A travelling day, experiencing not only the amazing beauty of the landscape, sunrise and creatures; Impala, a monitor lizard some 4ft long, hawks etc. but also the worrying journeying conditions, as schoolchildren, bicycles, animals, coaches, trucks and heavily laden motorbikes vie for space on unmarked, bumpy, pot holed roads.

Sadly we witnessed an accident involving an overcrowded minibus, small truck and lots of people, and as we had to drive past it brought home to me that often we want to help but can do nothing, so we should never miss the opportunity to do good where it is within our powers and capabilities to do so.

There is so much desperate need here in Africa, we can’t help everyone, but that must not stop us from helping the ones we can. We are making a world of difference to our sponsored children and their families.
